Siteframe Hosting
Siteframe is a lightweight content-management system designed for the rapid deployment of community-based websites. With Siteframe, a group of users can share stories and photographs, send email, and participate in group activities. Siteframe enables this by providing web-based content management, so that anyone can create content without needing to learn HTML.
Siteframe is a lightweight content-management system for rapidly building and deploying complex websites. It provides facilities for users to create and maintain different types of content, such as:
- Articles: text documents for the display of content and other information.
- Files: any type of file that can be downloaded or used.
- Images: for JPEG image files.
- Links: for URL references.
- Polls: multiple-choice questions for querying users.
Siteframe uses an object-oriented framework that is built in PHP. It can easily be extended to create new documents. As an example, a Bug Report document is provided to show how the base Document class can be extended with special information and actions.
Siteframe is built around the MySQL relational database management system. All content is stored within MySQL tables, and can be easily backed-up and maintained. Siteframe provides scripts for performing automated backups and regular "newsletter"-type reports.
